The European Payments Council (EPC) announced that MONEI, Paynetics AD, Stripe, Visa Direct, and BNP Paribas Fortis became new members with effect from 1 January. Following these changes, the EPC represents 83 payment service providers and their associations. The EPC also confirmed that BNP Paribas Fortis replaced KBC as part of a periodic rotation among payment service providers representing Belgium in the EPC’s governance bodies. The new members include a payments platform (MONEI), an e-money institution regulated by the Bulgarian National Bank and passported across the European Economic Area (Paynetics AD), a payments infrastructure provider for businesses (Stripe), and Visa’s real-time money movement service (Visa Direct).
