The Angola Capital Markets Commission participated in a UK Embassy-hosted roundtable on initial public offerings (IPOs) in Angola, examining how IPOs could be used to diversify the economy, strengthen the capital market and attract domestic and foreign investment. The commission was represented by board chair Elmer Serrão and executive director Herlânder Diogo at the 16 September 2025 session, which brought together BODIVA, financial sector firms, investors and international partners. Discussion covered the role of dual listings in boosting liquidity on the local exchange, structural challenges linked to fungibility and settlement timeframes, and Angola’s potential to leverage capital markets to support economic diversification.
