The Securities and Exchange Board of India entered into a tripartite memorandum of understanding with Rashtriya Raksha University and the National Institute of Securities Markets on Aug. 17, 2026. The long-term collaboration covers capacity building, research, education, policy support and knowledge exchange, with a focus on strengthening technological capabilities across India’s securities market. The institutions will develop training and qualifications for regulators, law enforcement agencies, financial institutions, SEBI-regulated entities and other participants. Priority areas include secure software development, application programming interface security, cybersecurity exercises, vulnerability management, artificial intelligence and quantum computing. The partnership also provides for an open-source intelligence-based market intelligence capability, a capital markets course repository and a Technical Innovation Unit envisioned as a command center for joint operations, research and innovation.
