Hong Kong’s Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau announced that the Financial Secretary has reappointed Mr Chan Kin-por and Mr Herbert Chia Pun-kok and appointed Mr Clement Chan Kam-wing to the Board of Directors of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX). The appointments take effect from the conclusion of HKEX’s 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) until the conclusion of its 2028 AGM, for a term of around two years. The appointments were made under Section 77 of the Securities and Futures Ordinance. The announcement noted Mr Clement Chan’s experience in financial services, particularly accounting and auditing, and public service related to the securities and futures market, and it thanked retiring director Mrs Susan Chow. HKEX’s board comprises up to six directors appointed by the Financial Secretary, up to six directors elected by shareholders, and HKEX’s Chief Executive, with other incumbent Financial Secretary appointees listed as Mr Carlson Tong Ka-shing, Mr Joseph Yam Chi-kwong and Ms Ding Chen.

The Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau of Hong Kong announced the reappointment of Mr Chan Kin-por and Mr Herbert Chia Pun-kok, and the appointment of Mr Clement Chan Kam-wing to the Board of Directors of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX). Effective from the conclusion of HKEX’s 2026 Annual General Meeting, these appointments will last until the 2028 AGM, made under Section 77 of the Securities and Futures Ordinance.
