The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and Japan's Financial Services Agency (FSA) convened the Spring SEC–FSA Financial Regulatory Dialogue in Tokyo on 27 February 2026, continuing their bilateral engagement on cross-border market and supervisory issues. The agenda covered recent market developments and the strategic priorities of both authorities, including regulatory and supervisory developments in crypto and digital assets and opportunities for closer coordination in multilateral fora. Commissioner Mark T. Uyeda led the dialogue for the SEC and Vice Minister for International Affairs MIYOSHI Toshiyuki led for the FSA. The next dialogues are scheduled to be held in Tokyo in the fall of 2026 and in Washington, D.C., in the spring of 2027.
