The Financial Conduct Authority announced three board appointments effective Oct. 1, 2026. HM Treasury appointed Lea Paterson CBE and Matthew Tobin as non-executive directors, while FCA Deputy Chief Executive Sarah Pritchard will join as an executive member. Paterson brings experience in economics, public policy and regulation, including senior roles at the Bank of England. Tobin is a financing lawyer who has advised the government, regulators and financial institutions on systemic risk, statutory schemes and major banking and market interventions. Pritchard will bring her knowledge of the FCA and its five-year strategy directly to the board.
