The International Association of Deposit Insurers announced new leadership for two of its Technical Committees, appointing new chairs for the Fintech and Resolution workstreams, alongside a wider community update highlighting recent member publications and upcoming events. Ms Sabihah Mohamed of the South African Reserve Bank was appointed Chair of the Fintech Technical Committee and Mr Oktawiusz Szubart of the Bank Guarantee Fund was appointed Chair of the Resolution Technical Committee. The update also drew attention to several deposit insurer reports, including the Hong Kong Deposit Protection Board’s 2024–2025 Annual Report covering two-phase enhancements to the Deposit Protection Scheme and outreach on the new coverage limit of HKD 800,000, and the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund of Türkiye’s 2024 Annual Report noting the increase in the deposit insurance limit from TRY 400,000 to TRY 650,000. IADI also listed digitalisation webinars scheduled for 16 September, 22 September and 16 October 2025, and set out upcoming meetings and conferences through November 2025, including the 24th IADI Annual Conference and AGM on 24–28 November 2025.
