The Financial Action Task Force of Latin America (GAFILAT) held an Evaluators Training Course, jointly organised with the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund and supported by the FATF Secretariat, to prepare experts who will participate in mutual evaluations under the fifth round. Delivered in Washington D.C. from 2 to 6 March 2026, the course brought together 46 participants from 17 countries and three international organisations (FATF, the World Bank and the IMF), including representatives from eight GAFILAT member countries. The programme covered the mutual evaluation process, risk and context analysis, and core skills to assess technical compliance and the effectiveness of AML/CFT/CPF frameworks, alongside modules on using data and statistics to support findings and on drafting and discussing Mutual Evaluation Reports in technical fora.
