The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan has launched an online “Household Financial Behaviour and Intentions” survey to collect information on households’ consumption and saving behaviour and plans, the factors shaping these decisions, and their debt burden and ability to service it. The central bank frames the results as inputs to assessing aggregate demand and the formation of inflation and inflation expectations, and to evaluating household financial stability and solvency through debt servicing capacity. Responses will be used to support macroeconomic analysis and forecasting and to inform monetary policy and financial stability decisions. The questionnaire is available on the central bank’s official website and is planned to run quarterly, four times a year, with participation open to all population groups.
