The Angola Capital Markets Commission participated in the signing of a memorandum of understanding between DeltaGest Capital, SGOIC, S.A., a CMC-registered entity, and the Angolan company S.P.P.F.F. – Kapata, Lda under the Greenfield venture capital fund, described as the first agreement between a venture capital fund and an SME within the CMC’s Emergentes programme. Kapata, which is developing a beekeeping project in Moxico Province, was a finalist in Emergentes, a CMC initiative designed to prepare small and medium-sized enterprises for access to capital markets. The memorandum sets out an intention for Greenfield FCR to invest, including the possibility of acquiring up to 51% of Kapata’s share capital following completion of feasibility studies.
