The Czech National Bank has published its quarterly update to the list of payment statistics relevant institutions in the Czech Republic. These institutions are subject to reporting requirements under Decree No. 401/2021, which has applied since Jan. 1, 2022. The sector includes the central bank, banks, credit unions, payment and electronic money institutions, small-scale providers and issuers, payment account information administrators and postal licence holders. It also covers relevant institutions registered in another European Union member state that operate in the Czech Republic through a branch. The European System of Central Banks maintains procedures for monitoring and checking the sector, while the Czech list is updated quarterly and the European Central Bank publishes an annual EU-wide list.
