The State Bank of Vietnam published an account of the National Credit Information Center of Vietnam (CIC) Party Committee Congress for the 2025–2030 term, including policy direction from Governor Nguyen Thi Hong. The update frames CIC as core banking-sector infrastructure and calls for a higher-coverage, more comprehensive credit information database, stronger analytical and forecasting capacity, and tighter information security in line with digital-era requirements. The release reports that, by end-2024, the national credit information database exceeded 57 million borrower customer files, with credit information coverage at around 73.9% of the adult population, above the 70% target set for the 2020–2025 term. CIC delivered an average of more than 65 million credit reports per year to credit institutions, reaching over 91 million in 2024, and it cited completion of the legal framework for credit information activities through State Bank of Vietnam Circular 15/2023/TT-NHNN and subsequent State Bank of Vietnam decisions issued in 2024 and 2025; it also noted fee reductions to credit institutions of more than VND 655 billion during 2020–2022 under a flexible pricing approach. CIC was selected as a pilot unit for Party congress organisation under the State Bank of Vietnam Party Committee’s plan, and the State Bank of Vietnam Party Committee held a post-congress review to inform upcoming congresses across its subordinate organisations. The congress elected an 11-member CIC Party Executive Committee for 2025–2030 and a delegation to the State Bank of Vietnam Party Congress for the same term.
