The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has opened registrations for NBU University Challenge 2025, its annual student team championship focused on formulating and defending proposed policy decisions on interest rates, the exchange rate, and foreign exchange restrictions during wartime. The competition is open to teams from Ukrainian higher education institutions, with teams of three to five students from the same faculty and coordinated by a consultant professor. Students who previously reached the finals, and current or former NBU interns or employees, are not eligible. Submissions will be assessed by members of the NBU Monetary Policy Committee and invited experts, with finalists receiving diplomas and invitations to internships at the NBU and the winning team receiving the NBU Governor Cup. Teams must register by 23 September. An online orientation session is scheduled for 26 September, presentations are due by 22 October, shortlisted teams will be announced on 3 November, and the offline final will be held on 20 November.
