The Brazilian Pension Funds Authority (PREVIC) took part in the 14th National Congress of the National Association of Accountants of Pension Entities (Ancep) in Rio de Janeiro, with officials speaking on recent and forthcoming regulatory, actuarial and accounting developments for closed complementary pension entities (EFPC). The programme also featured the presentation of PREVIC – Cidadão, a new public-facing information panel. PREVIC’s Director of Standards, Alcinei Rodrigues, discussed new guidelines for the Administrative Management Plan and the implications for EFPC management, highlighting CNPC Resolution 62/2024 and adjustments to PREVIC Resolution 23/2023 that accounting teams should observe. He noted that authorisation to set up a shared administrative fund depends on the prior segregation of amounts earmarked for EFPC operations (within the limits set in Resolution 62) and for financing benefit plans, and presented statistics on the shared administrative fund. PREVIC’s Director of Administration, Leonardo Zumpichiatti, presented PREVIC – Cidadão, available on PREVIC’s website since 2 September, which provides plain-language data and indicators covering 270 EFPC and 1,180 closed pension plans. Separate sessions covered actuarial risks in EFPC and accounting standard-setting progress already implemented and under study; Ancep also awarded PREVIC’s superintendent Ricardo Pena (Regulatory Excellence) and Rodrigues (Government Authority).
