The Thailand Office of Insurance Commission, through its Advanced Insurance Academy, convened leading universities and Thailand’s life and general insurance associations to deepen cooperation on academic work, research and insurance innovation, with a focus on building industry-ready talent. The agenda covered joint development of research in insurance, risk management and related fields, creation of a central database for insurance research and innovation, and support for research funding and workforce development scholarships. Discussions also addressed aligning higher-education curricula with insurance sector needs and running additional activities to strengthen students’ knowledge of insurance and InsurTech. The meeting also discussed “Insurance Symposium 2025”, which is intended to be upgraded into an international forum for academics, experts and industry participants to exchange knowledge and present research, technology and innovations for practical application.
