The Reserve Bank of New Zealand appointed Kate Le Quesne to the newly created role of Assistant Governor Enterprise Services, completing the Executive Leadership Team structure announced on 7 May 2025. She will take up the role on 16 June 2025. Le Quesne, currently Director Financial Markets, will be responsible for the enterprise-wide services and functions of Te Putea Matua that support delivery of the central bank’s mandate, leading Strategy Enablement, Stakeholder Engagement, Risk, Compliance and Audit, Governance, and Special Projects. The Bank also confirmed a reshaped Leadership Team structure aligned to the consolidated ELT, comprising 20 director roles across four Groups: Financial Stability, Money, Enterprise Services, and Operations, effective 16 June 2025; it noted that Sarah Owen, former Assistant Governor and General Manager of Risk, Compliance, and Legal Services, departed on 23 May 2025. Vanessa Rayner will act as Director Financial Markets while the Reserve Bank recruits a permanent replacement.
