The emails direct recipients to a fake website intended to obtain personal information. eMPF Platform Company Limited has reported the case to the Police. MPFA said neither it nor eMPF Platform Company is connected to the email or website. It told the public to verify sender addresses, SMS sender information and domain names before responding, and noted that the official domains are @mpfa.org.hk for MPFA and @empf.org.hk, @support.empf.org.hk and @osc.empf.org.hk for eMPF Platform Company. Account management should be done only through the official eMPF website or the official mobile application, and suspicious messages or lookalike websites should be verified or reported to the Police.
