The State Bank of Vietnam published an update on the sixth Party Congress of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) Central Office for the 2025–2030 term, attended by Governor Nguyen Thi Hong in her capacity as Chair of VBSP’s Board of Directors. The congress reviewed results for 2020–2025, elected new Party leadership for the next term and adopted a resolution that, among other objectives, targets average annual growth in outstanding policy lending of about 10% and an overdue debt ratio below 2%. The report highlighted expansion in policy credit resources and lending over the outgoing term, including average annual growth of 12.3% in funding sources and 11.6% in outstanding loans, with overdue debt averaging 0.2%. As of 31 May 2025, total policy credit resources stood at VND 410,857bn and outstanding loans at VND 389,388bn across more than 6.8 million borrowers, while local budget entrusted funds reached VND 61,427bn, representing 15% of total policy credit resources. Credit quality metrics as of 31 May 2025 included overdue and rescheduled debt of VND 2,091bn, equal to 0.54% of outstanding loans, and overdue debt of VND 858bn, equal to 0.22%. The congress elected a 30-member Party Executive Committee for 2025–2030 and tasked it with finalising and issuing an action programme to implement the resolution.
