The Middle East and North Africa Financial Action Task Force (MENAFATF) announced the start of a FATF Standards Training Course in Doha, Qatar, organised in partnership with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and hosted by Qatar’s National Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Committee (NAMLC). Running from 13 to 17 April 2025, the five-day programme is delivered by FATF trainers and brings together more than 40 participants from MENAFATF member countries. The course focuses on strengthening understanding of the FATF Standards on anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing and counter-proliferation financing (AML/CFT/CPF), including practical foundations for building effective national systems, meeting compliance requirements, and implementing measures to combat money laundering and terrorist financing. MENAFATF indicated it intends to continue delivering similar training and capacity-building programmes with partners to provide ongoing technical support and keep member countries updated on AML/CFT developments.
