National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic Chair Almaz Baketaev attended a high level International Monetary Fund briefing in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 24-25 covering monetary policy, financial stability, institutional capacity, international reserve management, payment infrastructure and central bank digital currency, and met IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva to discuss global economic trends and challenges and continued dialogue under Kyrgyzstan’s cooperation with the IMF.
