The Tanzania Insurance Regulatory Authority (TIRA), through its Western Zone office, ran an insurance law education seminar for magistrates in Singida Region to strengthen understanding of insurance matters and improve the efficiency of handling insurance-related cases. The seminar was held on 26 September 2025 at the Jmax hall in Manyoni District and brought together resident magistrates from Resident Magistrate Courts and District Courts in Singida. Sessions were delivered by TIRA lawyers and were positioned as part of efforts to deepen cooperation with the judiciary to support effective and transparent implementation of insurance laws for the benefit of citizens. At the close of the seminar, Western Zone Manager Awanje Matenda highlighted TIRA’s intention to continue providing education and working with insurance sector stakeholders and the wider public to increase awareness of insurance issues and support sector growth.
