The Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway has granted Týr Markets AS authorization under Article 63 of the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation to provide crypto-asset services in Norway. It is the first virtual currency exchange platform to receive that authorization under Norway’s crypto-asset regime, which has required prior approval for in-scope services since the Law on Crypto-Assets took effect on 1 July 2025. The authorization took effect on 18 May 2026. It allows Týr Markets AS to safeguard and administer crypto-assets for clients, exchange crypto-assets for funds, exchange crypto-assets for other crypto-assets, and provide services related to the transfer of crypto-assets on behalf of clients.

The Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway has granted Týr Markets AS authorization under Article 63 of the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation to provide crypto-asset services in Norway, marking the first such approval for a virtual currency exchange platform under the country’s crypto-asset regime. Effective 18 May 2026, the authorization covers safeguarding and administering crypto-assets for clients, exchanging crypto-assets for funds or other crypto-assets, and providing transfer-related services on behalf of clients.
