The Reserve Bank of Australia has published a variation to the Access Regime for the ATM System that takes effect on 1 October 2025. The change is intended to accommodate the replacement of the industry-administered ATM Access Code with a new ATM Access Standard and does not alter the Access Regime’s substantive requirements. The RBA decided on 17 September 2025 to make the variation, describing the amendments as minor. Further detail is set out in the Access Regime for the ATM System Variation 2025 and its Explanatory Statement, while information on the new ATM Access Standard is available via AusPayNet.
