A delegation from the Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures (MONEYVAL), led by President Nicola Muccioli, took part in the inter-ministerial “No Money for Terror” conference in Munich on 13 February 2025. Speaking on a panel focused on multilateral cooperation, Muccioli highlighted joint efforts by MONEYVAL states and territories to combat terrorist financing and underlined the importance of cooperation with the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and other actors. The conference brought together more than 200 high-level officials and experts from multiple countries and key international organisations. Muccioli referenced best practices, key challenges and lessons learned, and commended ongoing work across the MONEYVAL membership to improve understanding of terrorist financing risks.
