The Bank of the Lao, together with Happy Event Co., Ltd, held a press conference to launch the first “Lao Money Expo 2025”, which is expected to take place on 15-20 December 2025 at the Lao ITECC venue in Vientiane under the theme “Money for Growth”. The event was presented as a platform to support national efforts to address economic and financial challenges by connecting financial institutions, investors and the public, helping businesses access funding, and promoting financial literacy and the safe use of financial tools amid rapid digital development. The briefing brought together the Bank of the Lao’s deputy governor and representatives from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, financial institutions and other stakeholders, and included the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Bank of the Lao’s Office and Happy Event to underpin delivery of the expo.
