The National Bank of Moldova has continued its NBM NextGen internship program for students from the academic diaspora, with more than 50 students completing placements since the start of 2026. The latest cohort comprised 21 students from Moldova and Romania studying at universities abroad. The interns worked across central bank functions including monetary policy, financial stability, banking supervision, financial markets, international relations, European integration and financial technology. The program is designed to give participants practical insight into central banking and strengthen skills acquired during their studies overseas.
