The Central Bank of Poland reported that official reserve assets stood at EUR 256 billion, equivalent to USD 295 billion, at the end of July 2026. The euro value fell by EUR 1.7 billion from end-June, while the US dollar value increased by USD 1.5 billion. The central bank prioritizes safety and liquidity in managing the reserves before seeking long-term returns. Most reserves are invested in government securities, with additional holdings in non-government debt, investment funds providing global equity exposure and short-term deposits at highly rated banks.
