The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority and Egypt’s Court of Cassation, through the Supreme Judicial Council, signed a cooperation protocol to organise specialised training programmes and workshops to exchange expertise between judges and the authority’s staff. Under the protocol, Court of Cassation judges will design and deliver training and specialised lectures for FRA employees on legal and jurisprudential matters linked to the authority’s mandates, including to strengthen legal and regulatory drafting capabilities. It also provides for training courses and workshops for Court of Cassation judges on the technical and supervisory aspects of legislation governing non-banking financial markets and activities, aimed at improving the integration of legal and regulatory perspectives.
