Bermuda’s Ministry of Finance announced that Premier and Minister of Finance David Burt will represent Bermuda at the DC Blockchain Summit in Washington, DC on 17–18 March 2026, positioning the visit as an opportunity to advance cross-jurisdiction collaboration with US policymakers and regulators on blockchain and digital asset regulation as the United States progresses its market structure bill, the CLARITY Act. Engagements are expected to focus on stablecoin frameworks, payments interoperability, tokenised markets, digital asset insurance and financial market integrity, building on Bermuda’s existing approach under the Digital Asset Business Act and supervision by the Bermuda Monetary Authority. The programme also includes a fireside discussion with an executive from the Stellar Development Foundation and bilateral meetings with US federal agencies, policymakers and private-sector stakeholders, with discussions referencing regulatory clarity, consumer protection, AML compliance and market integrity.
