The Central Bank of Estonia’s Supervisory Board has approved the winning design by Kaupo Kangro for a silver collector coin commemorating the Forest Brothers, which is due to be issued in 2026 as part of the bank’s series of coins dedicated to Resistance. The coin will have a nominal value of EUR 15 and a mintage of 2,500. Second place in the design competition went to Villu Järmut and third place to Moonika Mällo, with prize amounts of EUR 3,000 for the winner, EUR 2,000 for second place and EUR 1,000 for third place; the approved design may be altered for technical reasons when preparing it for minting.
