The Ghana National Insurance Commission, in collaboration with the Chartered Insurance Institute of Ghana, organised the maiden Insurance Retiree Programme to bring together retired professionals across Ghana’s insurance industry and formalise ways to recognise and leverage their experience. The programme’s objectives include creating a national platform for retirees, celebrating veterans’ contributions, establishing a mentorship programme pairing veterans with young professionals and executives, and involving retirees in research, advisory work, policy review, and technical training. It also envisages engaging veterans to support enforcement of regulations and sanctions and to address health and selected needs of retired professionals. The event took place at the Commission’s head office and included retired chief executive officers, former Commissioners of Insurance, and other insurance professionals.
