National Bank of Moldova Governor links education and innovation to Moldova’s EU integration at Technical University ceremony

National Bank of Moldova Governor Anca Dragu took part in a formal ceremony at the Technical University of Moldova marking the award of an honorary Doctor Honoris Causa title to Mihnea Cosmin Costoiu, rector of Romania’s National University of Science and Technology Politehnica Bucharest, in an event focused on strengthening Moldova–Romania academic cooperation. In her remarks, Dragu framed education, research and innovation as central to building human capital and supporting the economic transformation associated with Moldova’s path toward the European Union, alongside institutional reforms. She also connected recent progress in Moldova, including strengthened macroeconomic stability and improved international perceptions of the economy, to institutional quality, professional competence, and sustained investment in education and innovation.
