The website advertises access to trading in FX currency pairs, commodities, stocks and indices and falsely claims to maintain a branch office in ADGM. The FSRA noted that these advertised services would constitute Regulated Activities in ADGM and reiterated that only FSRA-authorised firms can undertake such activities; Freedom Brokers is not and has never been granted Financial Services Permission by the FSRA, and is not and has never been incorporated in ADGM or licensed to undertake commercial activities there. The FSRA advised market participants and investors to verify a firm’s authorisation status on the FSRA Public Register and to check incorporation or registration claims via the ADGM Registration Authority’s Public Register before dealing with any firm.
