The National Bank of Moldova reported that official reserve assets declined by EUR 18.35 million in July, reaching EUR 5.20 billion as of July 31, compared with EUR 5.22 billion at the end of June. The largest reductions came from EUR 24.35 million in external public debt service payments and a EUR 12.90 million adverse currency valuation effect. These declines were partly offset by EUR 12.94 million in income from foreign reserve management, EUR 3.06 million in net inflows from licensed banks’ foreign currency required reserves and EUR 5.92 million in other net inflows. Official reserve assets remained EUR 93.47 million above their end-2025 level, while net foreign assets stood at EUR 5.17 billion, up EUR 98.44 million over the same period.
