The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan has granted “Baku Pay” LLC an indefinite licence to operate as an electronic money institution, allowing it to provide payment services under Azerbaijan’s Law on Payment Services and Payment Systems. The licence was issued by a decision of the Central Bank’s Board dated 15 January 2025. The Central Bank continues to assess other organisations that have applied for payment-services licences, and publishes information on issued licences on its website.

Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan grants Baku Pay a perpetual e-money institution licence
The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan has granted "Baku Pay" LLC an indefinite licence to operate as an electronic money institution under the Law on Payment Services and Payment Systems. The decision was made by the Central Bank’s Board on 15 January 2025. The Central Bank is also evaluating other payment-services licence applications.
