The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority approved the establishment, registration or licensing of 11 firms and entities across nonbank financial activities. The approvals cover two special purpose acquisition companies operating in acquisition focused venture capital, a real estate investment fund, a multi-issuance agricultural private equity fund and a reinsurance brokerage. The authority also registered four debt collection companies serving nonbank finance providers, increasing the collection register to eight firms. It granted provisional licenses to two third-party administrators of health care programs, bringing the total number of provisional licenses in that activity to 11.
