The Seychelles Financial Services Authority issued a public warning about the website goldux.com, which it says is allegedly operated by Roomter Limited, advising that the company does not have and has never had authorisation to operate under the Virtual Asset Service Providers Act, 2024. The authority noted that Roomter Limited was previously incorporated under the International Business Companies Act but has since been struck off and dissolved with effect from 1 January 2022, and is therefore no longer a legal entity registered or incorporated in Seychelles. The notice reminded consumers to verify whether virtual asset service providers and virtual asset products are licensed or authorised in the jurisdiction from which they claim to operate, and pointed to the authority’s website listings of authorised non-bank financial services providers and registrations of initial coin offerings and non-fungible tokens. It also encouraged the public to report suspected unauthorised or unlicensed virtual asset activity using the form available on its website.
