The notice reminded consumers to verify whether virtual asset service providers and virtual asset products are licensed or authorised in the jurisdiction from which they claim to operate, and pointed to the authority’s website listings of authorised non-bank financial services providers and registrations of initial coin offerings and non-fungible tokens. It also encouraged the public to report suspected unauthorised or unlicensed virtual asset activity using the form available on its website.
