The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) issued a compliance order against Yashna Singh and imposed nine administrative penalties totalling CAD 75,000, following findings by the Financial Services Tribunal that she contravened the Mortgage Brokerages, Lenders and Administrators Act, 2006 and related regulations. The Tribunal found breaches including receiving remuneration from someone other than the brokerage she was authorized to deal in mortgages by, providing false or deceptive information and documents when dealing in mortgages, dealing in mortgages for remuneration without holding a licence, using restricted titles such as “Broker” and “Agent” without being licensed, operating and advertising an unlicensed mortgage brokerage, and providing false or misleading information to FSRA. The orders were issued as a result of the Tribunal’s decision dated November 25, 2025.
