The Rwanda Capital Markets Authority said its Chief Executive Officer, Romeo Ngarambe, joined regulators, stock exchange operators and policymakers from across the East African Community in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, for the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange's 30th anniversary on 3 July 2026. The event marked three decades of the exchange's role in developing Tanzania's capital markets and broader economy, while also serving as a forum for regional stakeholders to reflect on progress in strengthening capital markets and advancing financial integration across East Africa. The authority framed its participation as part of growing financial-sector cooperation between Rwanda and Tanzania. Both countries are members of the East African Securities Regulatory Authorities, which regional regulators use to promote harmonised regulatory frameworks, cross-border investment and deeper capital market integration within the East African Community.
