The National Bank of Moldova held an official meeting, led by Governor Anca Dragu, with Antonella Bassani, World Bank Vice President for Europe and Central Asia, to discuss Moldova’s macroeconomic outlook, the findings of the Financial Sector Assessment Program (FSAP), and the two institutions’ technical cooperation. The dialogue focused on ongoing structural reforms, including digitalisation of financial infrastructure, financial inclusion, the transition to a green economy including the ESG framework, and strengthening the resilience of the financial sector. The parties referenced joint projects underway on digital financial services, sustainable finance and green-transition initiatives, and the development of the National Strategy for Financial Inclusion (SNIF 2030), and highlighted scope to further strengthen cooperation, including on implementing SNIF 2030.
