The Croatian Financial Services Supervisory Agency granted Zagreb-based WHITE TECH authorisation to operate as a crypto-asset service provider under the EU Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) and Croatia’s implementing act. The authorisation allows the firm to provide specified crypto-asset services in Croatia. The permission covers exchange of crypto-assets for funds, exchange of crypto-assets for other crypto-assets, transfer of crypto-assets on behalf of clients, and custody and administration of crypto-assets on behalf of clients. WHITE TECH will be entered in Hanfa’s register of authorised crypto-asset service providers and will be subject to Hanfa supervision for its crypto-asset services activities; it had previously been registered as a virtual asset service provider under the Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Act. Hanfa also reiterated that existing virtual asset service providers must obtain MiCA authorisation by 1 July 2026 to continue providing services after that date.
