The National Bank of Romania, the Ministry of Education and Research, the Romanian Association of Banks and the Bank Deposit Guarantee Fund organized 25 financial education workshops for more than 600 preuniversity teachers between June and September 2026. Held across 21 cities, including Bucharest, the third edition equipped middle and high school teachers with resources for their own financial decisions and for teaching students. The workshops covered personal budgeting, saving, credit products, modern payment instruments and fraud risks, as well as the roles of the central bank and financial institutions. The program forms part of the 2024-2030 National Financial Education Strategy and supports its objective of strengthening financial education skills among preuniversity and university teachers.
