Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) has partnered with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) to run the Integrity Builder Expert (Ahli Pembangun Integritas, API) certification programme, aiming to strengthen OJK’s internal integrity culture as part of wider public-sector reform and anti-corruption efforts. The programme included a certification assessment for 39 OJK employees from headquarters and regional offices. OJK linked the initiative to the integrity demands of its core functions, including licensing, fit and proper tests, supervision, and internal management. The update also highlighted OJK’s Anti-Fraud Strategy built on four pillars (assess, prevent, detect, respond), with measures including fraud risk assessments, LHKPN reporting, a gratification control programme, a whistleblowing system, and enforcement via special audits and an ethics committee, and noted that the approach is extended to the financial sector through OJK Regulation Number 12 of 2024 on implementing anti-fraud strategies for financial services institutions. OJK reported 19 employees already certified as API, with the current cohort expected to increase that number. OJK and KPK plan to continue the collaboration, including a PAKSI (anti-corruption counsellor) certification programme for 50 OJK employees scheduled for 4-6 November 2025.
