The Union of Arab Securities Authorities (UASA) participated in the Commission for the Organization and Surveillance of Stock Exchange Operations (COSOB) third annual conference in Algiers on 20 November, which examined digital transformation in the financial sector and mechanisms to integrate sustainable finance into capital markets. Representatives from Arab financial regulatory authorities and international experts attended. UASA’s Secretary General, Jalil Tarif, delivered the opening speech and spoke in the first session on recent developments in Arab capital markets, focusing on financial technology, governance and sustainability, while also highlighting developments in the Algerian capital market and COSOB’s efforts to promote cooperation and harmonisation across Arab capital markets.
