The State Bank of Vietnam has launched a sector-wide patriotic emulation campaign for 2025–2030, calling on the banking system to translate the campaign into practical initiatives aligned with core mandates and priority tasks. Implementation is to be tailored by each unit and linked to priority areas including science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, green transition, private-sector development, institutional improvement and international economic integration. The Governor also set expectations to continue strengthening the banking legal framework, run monetary policy proactively and flexibly in close coordination with fiscal and other economic policies, and steer credit institutions and foreign bank branches to operate safely and effectively while investing in information technology and modern payment infrastructure; credit is to be directed to production and business and other priority areas, alongside efforts to expand access to bank credit, strengthen financial capacity, increase charter capital and improve capital adequacy. Heads of units are to issue their own emulation launch documents for 2025–2030 and submit them to the State Bank of Vietnam’s Personnel Organization Department by 31/12/2025, with annual plans and emulation commitments to follow; the Personnel Organization Department will monitor, guide and inspect implementation.
