The Eurasian Group Secretariat held training in Moscow from 7 to 11 July 2025 on Financial Action Task Force standards for 41 experts from competent authorities in Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The program focused on international standards for anti-money laundering, counter-terrorist financing and counter-proliferation financing, including recent updates and changes. The training used materials developed by the FATF Training Centre and was aimed at preparing member-state experts to strengthen national AML/CFT/CPF systems ahead of the next Eurasian Group round of mutual evaluations. It also served as preliminary training for potential assessors for the new round. The event was hosted at the International Training and Methodology Centre for Financial Monitoring with support from the Federal Financial Monitoring Service of the Russian Federation. The Eurasian Group Secretariat said it will continue to provide AML/CFT/CPF training for member-state experts under its approved 2025-2026 work plan.
