The Central Bank of Kuwait announced the launch of the first cohort of the “Cybersecurity Leaders – Advanced” program under its Kafa’a initiative, designed to strengthen national capabilities in banking-sector cybersecurity with a particular focus on cloud infrastructure security. The program targets experienced Kuwaiti cybersecurity professionals and provides advanced practical training in cloud security, threat detection and security engineering, with a pathway to internationally recognised GIAC certifications. It is administered by the Institute of Banking Studies in cooperation with Kuwaiti banks, and will be delivered through multiple advanced specialist tracks starting with an eight-week cloud environment security track run in partnership with the SANS Institute. Applications are open from 1 April 2026 to 30 April 2026, with candidates required to meet defined selection criteria and pass prescribed tests and interviews.
