The Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets announced that departing board member Jos Heuvelman was appointed an Officer of the Order of Orange-Nassau. Social Affairs and Employment Minister Hans Vijlbrief presented the royal honor during Heuvelman’s farewell reception on Sept. 1, 2026. The award recognizes Heuvelman’s contributions to confidence in financial markets, including his work on the pension transition and consumers’ financial resilience and literacy. It also reflects more than 40 years of leadership as a central banker and financial supervisor in the Netherlands and Europe, alongside 37 years of volunteer work.
