The Central Bank of Peru published its July 2026 Macroeconomic Expectations Survey, showing that most business expectation indicators increased and all remained above the 50-point threshold that separates optimism from pessimism. Expectations for the economy rose sharply, with the three-month measure climbing from 55.5 in June to 62.3 and the 12-month measure increasing from 68.6 to 72.1. Three-month expectations also improved for firms’ sectors, business conditions, product demand, hiring and investment. Most current-condition indicators strengthened, including business conditions, sales and purchase orders, while demand relative to expectations remained below the neutral threshold at 48.4.
