The Bank of Lithuania has granted UAB Decentralized authorisation as a crypto-asset service provider, allowing it to provide custody and administration of crypto-assets, crypto-asset transfer services, and exchange of crypto-assets for funds and other crypto-assets. The company also obtained a payment institution licence authorising it to perform operations with electronic money tokens. UAB Decentralized operates under the CoinGate brand and was founded in 2014. It has more than 50 employees and runs a platform covering crypto-related services including payment processing, transfers, conversion, and storage. The firm’s shareholders and managers are Lithuanian citizens, and it intends to carry out a significant part of its activities by providing services in the Lithuanian market.
